Prof. Tuan Quang PHAN is the Associate Professor in Marketing and Innovation & Information Management at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), founding Director HKU in Vietnam in 2022, Associate Director of the Asia Case Research Centre, and founding President of Vietnam Association for Information Systems. Previously he was a professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) where he received tenure at both the School of Computing and the Business School. He received his bachelor’s degree from MIT in engineering and PhD from Harvard Business School. Prof. Phan is a globally recognized expert on digital business including blockchains, AI, Fintech and green finance. He has published in top international journals including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science (PNAS), Information Systems Research (ISR), Marketing Science, published 3 books on Information Systems in Vietnam, and over 40 conference papers. He also helped launched the Singapore Airline-NUS Digital Aviation Lab at nearly SGD50m, and a university research lead at the NUS Institute of Applied Learning Sciences & Educational Technology (ALSET). He is also co-founder of Xeptagon, the leading carbon credit and green finance solution for governments, multinationals, and enterprises, an investor, was an expert witness for Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong, and worked closely with the UN, Facebook, Alibaba, Singapore Airlines & Changi Airport, AI Singapore, PNJ.
