Dr. Hien Van Nguyen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Houston, specializing in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and biomedical image analysis. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and holds 12 U.S. patents. Before joining the University of Houston, Dr. Nguyen worked at Siemens Corporate Research and UberATG, contributing to the development of advanced technologies, including autonomous driving technology. For his outstanding contributions to invention and research, he has been recognized as a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors. Additionally, Dr. Nguyen has received several prestigious awards, including the National Cancer Institute Research Award and the Best Poster Award at the IEEE International Biomedical Imaging Conference.
