Le Quy Vang holds a Ph.D. in molecular microbiology and is the CEO and Co-founder of NOVODAN in Denmark. With over 16 years of experience in data science, he is a leading expert in bioinformatics and data technology. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Duy Tan University in Vietnam. Vang has extensive experience working with biological data, particularly in NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) data analysis from microorganisms and clinical human samples, using advanced tools like GATK, samtools, and CLC Genomics Workbench.
Vang Le-Quy provides advice and support to researchers in overcoming entry barriers to data science and artificial intelligence. He has set up and optimized SLURM clusters for massive parallel computing on NVIDIA GPUs and supercomputers, enabling efficient processing of large-scale data. With deep expertise in bioinformatics, he works with NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) data from microorganisms and clinical human samples. He also studies human genome variants for genetic disorder testing. In addition, Vang has extensive experience working with public and commercial databases such as dbSNP, HGMD, dbNSFP, Ensembl, 1kG, and software tools like GATK, samtools, Lifescope, CLC Genomics Workbench, and Torrent Suite. He places a strong emphasis on quality control, standardization, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
