Dr Vinh Truong is currently a principal scientist and team leader within the Emerging Technologies Division, Institute Of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy And Environment (ISCE2), A*STAR, Singapore. He also holds an adjunct assistant professor at the Department of Pharmacology, NUS, Singapore. His research focuses on the applications of photochemical reaction systems in materials engineering and sustainability.
Dr Truong has over 10 years’ experience in photochemical reaction design and has introduced some of the most innovative photochemical systems available to-date that are responsive to long wavelength visible light, and can be further operated by sunlight. He has published 80 papers in leading interdisciplinary journals including Nat. Sus., Nat. Comm., JACS, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed, and Adv. Mat. Dr Truong is among the top 2% most-cited scientists 2023-2025, listed by Stanford University.
Dr Truong also engages widely with industry partners, leading a number of industry research collaboration projects in advanced and sustainable manufacturing with a total funding of $SGD 24M, leading top-tier national grants including IAF-PP and IAF-ICP.
